1. General Agreement
When you register or use the Idea City website (The “Site), services (“Services”) and platform (Platform), provided by Crowd Ventures Pte Ltd (“Company”) subsidiaries, affiliates, agents, representatives, consultants, employees, officers, and directors — collectively, “CrowdV,” “we,” or “us”, you are agreeing to these binding terms of use (the “Terms”) as set out below.</p>
You’re also agreeing to our Privacy Policy and any other rules and guidelines on the Site.
We reserve the right to change these terms from time to time. Such changes will be published on the Site and be communicated via email. Updated Terms are applicable and effective from a specific date and may not be retroactive. Continuance of usage, after change, implies acceptance of new Terms.
2. Registration
Registration of an account (irrespective of profile) is free. Registrant must be 18 years or over as you are entering into a legally binding contract. Proof of age may sometime be required. Registrant is fully responsible for the account, content (textual and media) and activities.
We can cancel your account, after investigation, if we find that information provided are offensive or activities violate our rules, or a complaint has been lodge against you.
If you feel that your account has been compromised and those activities are carried out after the compromise, you should report them to support@crowdv.net at the earliest possible time.
3. Relationship
We provide a platform for interaction between individuals with single or multiple profiles to create, fund and service projects.
When projects are posted on the platform, it is an invitation from the creators to others in the platform to accept his/her offers. Acceptance of the offers will form a separate direct legal contract between creators and backers or/and service providers.
This contract should detail out the obligations of the parties, financial or/and non-financial rewards, work scope and rules relating to completion, delivery of the project, and ownership.
We are not part of this contract so we:
• do not oversee projects’ performance
• do not become involved in or mediate disputes between the parties
• do not endorse and content submitted and used which are your sole responsibility
• do not participate in the activities
• are not liable for any damages or losses related to the use of the Services
4. Dos and Don’ts
Generally, we encourage good behaviors and online etiquettes and avoid breaking laws, abusing people, stealing information, hacking activities to our system and others etc. We aim to provide a pleasant, secure business-like environment for all to share and benefit.
We take any abuses seriously and will not hesitate to remove your account upon careful investigation and consideration.
5. Our Fees
Account registration and use of the platform is free.
The use of IP Blockchain is also free, that is unlimited free IP registration and unlimited use of its verification engine. Uploaded IP file is by default securely shredded by the system without any possibility of recovery. However, if you wish to store your IP file in our system (encrypted), there is a fee of USD1 per megabyte. Alternatively, you may use our non-cryptocurrency Vitcoin as an alternative to the US currency. As of today, 100 Vitcoins = USD1.
Users may buy Vitcoins from Idea City either via Paypal, Bank transfer or using Bitcoins.
From time to time, Crowd Ventures Pte. Ltd. will sponsor a partnering organisation by issuing Vitcoins to the partner for further crediting to their end users. 6. External Links
There are links to other websites in the Site. Accessing such websites are solely at your own risk. We do not have control or endorse these websites and as such, not liable for any losses or damages incurred.
7. Intellectual Property
Our content on the Site is copyrighted, trademarked and protected.
However, you have the right to use it for certain personal purposes but not commercially without seeking our permission first.
We also provide an IP protection service for your content.
8. Termination
You can delete your account any time.
Do note:
• content posted and uploaded up to and including time of deletion will remain on the platform
• projects and conversations with other users will remain
We can terminate your account if we find you have not complied with this Term of Use or following investigated decision after complaints from other users.
9. Other Legal & Rights Bits
Since the Site is a platform for collaboration, there are many aspects that we want to protect our rights, system and that of our users.
We reserve the right to:
• decide and approve who can register an account and use the platform
• terminate an account that violates or abuse the Terms
• make changes to the Site and Service without notice or liability
• cancel, suspend or remove projects or postings without giving making public the reasons
We are not liable for any damages as a result of any of these actions. We do not need to comment or disclose on the reasons for any such actions.
We provide the Services and platform for use to our best capabilities but do not guarantee everything works perfectly all the time. We are not liable for any damages or losses as a result of such disruptions. Users using our Services are at their own risk.
Should we be sued or suffered damages as a result of your actions or inactions, you must assist in our defence in a court of law and reimburse our losses and expenses.
10. Governing Law
We’re located in Singapore and any disputes with us have to be handled in Singapore under Singapore law and legal system.
